Sunday morning I finally figured out that my crying jag Friday and melancholiness Saturday were likely induced by gluten sneaking into some of my food (I blame Chipotle. Damn you Chipotle!).
In anycase, all the crying and upsettedness (is that a word?) triggered something amazing in our lives...
I am, in fact, going to write the cookbook.
Part of it is instigated by getting our taxes done; after adjusting due to our medical bills our gross income was disgusting low (not that I expect to make a lot of money publishing a cookbook; any income is better than no income). Another part of it is the complete lack of good cookbooks available to those who have celiac disease and multiple food allergies/intolerances.
And its not a decision like, "Hey! I'm finally gonna write that damn cookbook. Wooo-weeee!" No, decision is more than that. I'm researching publishing techniques and we expect a new laptop computer (with actual programs on it -- at least, more than just Word Pad and Windows '98) within the next month.
Amazingly, both my parents and Aaron's parents are supporting this decision. Which I am just totally floored by. My dad is sending me to a publishing conference. Aaron's parents are helping with the research of computers and computer software.
And I'm about to crap my pants.
I'm gonna write a cookbook.

Hooray! Can I pre order now?
Wow! That's fantastic! Are you planning to self-publish? Writing a book is a big undertaking, but it will be very satisfying too, and very useful to other people once you get done!
hey capello,
you write so well! it'll be super!
OH WOW! THAT is so wonderful. How flippin' exciting. And it's great that you have support. You'll have to keep us all posted. Remember us little people when you're on the Today Show promoting that cook book baby! 8-)
