At First When I See You Cry it Makes Me Smile, Yeah it Makes Me Smile

We have been below the freezing point for a few weeks, but yesterday we got a heat wave.

It was 57 degrees.

I ran outside, took my shirt off and ran screaming around the backyard.

It's really difficult to take pictures of yourself running and shirtless. So sorry. I don't have any to share.

But the boys had a blast.

And I managed to do some gardening. And take tons of pictures. Lots more on flickr, including the dilapidated greenhouse and the spring greens coming up.

And I think the high today is only suppose to be 22. Damn Mother Nature. I'm tired of the below freezing temperatures.

I don't know how people can take it. This is why I can never away from CA anymore. I would freak over the weather.

we have had gorgeous high temps the past couple of days, too. we're all sick (argh!) so we've been huddled inside, but i did open the windows!

Come on down to GA. It's nice and toasty here today :) I have to admit that I'm a tad jealous that we hardly ever get snow. Maybe we could all come up with a climate swap for a few days each month? ;)

Yippee for the coming spring, huh? I'm loving the weather lately.

It was so tantalizing to get one day of spring! I wanted to spend the whole day lying in the sun, and I probably should have. It's back to too effin' cold today. :(

I want to join the climate swap! I love the cold and I know the heat will come soon enough and make me miserable. So bring on the snow!

Okay, I'm impressed with your high quality of photos while topless. And the boys don't even look suprised.:)

You actually got out in the garden? I didn't manage that. If there is still slush, I'm not in the garden, even if it's 57. :) I'm a wimp. I can't believe the crocus are already coming up. I'm not ready for this.

What, no topless photos? You can come visit me, we're in the 70's right now. And you'd fit right in running around topless (mardi gras season).

WHAT!?? 57??!! Get out of here! We are at a balmy 19 today, up from 5 yesterday! We are just looking forward to being above freezing again so that the salt will melt all the ice on the roads!

You are lovely to share - as your nice weather got here today. Not a moment too soon.

I celebrated by blowing copious amounts of green stuff out of my nose. (My neighbors would be scarred for life and property values would plummet if I attempted the run around naked thing. Plus - the run around naked thing requires running. Which I am allergic to. It's like you and gluten...)

I am glad y'all got a chance to have some fresh air and sunshine, hopefully winter will be over very soon. I am stuck in the house with a sick kid, yuck!

Well, I went coatless, not topless, so I guess you got me beat!

Yeah, it's been almost 70 here the past few days...and last week we had snow. Weird, because there's no global warming right?

Phew. I am so glad there was no photographic evidence. Especially now that we all know your name is Laura. That might have seriously pushed people over the edge. And we all know how much you need *more* psycho blog followers.

Toben left the house in shorts this morning.

"It's supposed to be cold again today...and snow's coming," I said.

"I know. I'm boycotting winter," he replied.

Then he told the girls to put on their heavy winter jackets before going to school.

I guess boycotting is just for grown-ups.
