Both boys are still running fevers. Darwin still has, you know, what-I-said-before.
I've got all my material cut...
... and I need to go buy more. Hmph. Why do projects always have to cost money and time?
(And no, this isn't something that was meant to be patriotic; I just think of these colors during the hot-drag-out-days-of-summer. Ooooooh, I bet there's a hint in there.)
What? What's that you say? You think this project is just to give me some more time to procrastinate on the cookbook? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ahem. I don't know what you're talking about.

Sorry about the sick babes. Get well vibes coming your way.
I was gonna say a giant stack of birthday bean bags! But...no...a patchy tablecloth? Umm..I'm missing your clue there...a Summer Dragon? A fabric slip-n-slide! ha ha ha ha
sorry to hear the kddos are still under the weather...
as for the mystery project, I have no idea.... linings for coconut bras, perhaps? Er, um...square coconuts??? maybe not....
Hmm. I thought it was going to be an apron. But if it is, it is going to be a lot more work than I think I would be willing to tackle with a feverish 1 and explording 2. Umm, I'll keep posted. Picnic quilt?
I'm intrigued - what could you be making? Isn't t a bummr when you need to go out to get things and you can't move for sleeping/not well babies! Hope they get well soon.
I hope the boys are feeling better soon.
My guess is new throw pillows for summer.
Are you making a red-white-and-blue drag outfit for when your hubby gets back from his trip??? That'd be sooo hot....... "It makes me want a hot dog real bad."
sick kids and no hubby to help. Oh the joy. Mine always gets sick when daddy leaves. What's with that? I hope they feel better!!!
Nice colorful fabric squares. LOL.
Will they be potholders? No my real guess would be an outdoor blanket.
Hope your kids feel better. Sickness is always expected when it's cold, but in the summer, not so much.
To answer your question about potholders, mine do not have any special stuff in the middle. I probably should have used either 2 layers of batting or 1 thick one. It normally works fine. There is special fabric that is specifically for potholders and ironing board covers. Its silver. But I always have such a hard time finding it so I never use any.
Oh yeah - it's gotta be a quilt, with all those squares - and you need more?
I hope the kiddos start feeling better. You always seem to go through a lot when your hubby is out of town - that's gotta be SOOO hard. I'm sorry.
Hope they feel better soon - we've just finished that bug with Ella!!!
