"Mama? Mama, sing."

"You want me to sing you a song, Darwin?"

"Yeah, Mama, sing!"

"Twinkle, twinkle, little sta-"

"No, no, no, no."

"The itsy, bitsy spider, wen-"

"No, no, no, no. Widdle in the middle."

"Little in the middle but she got much back?"

::jumping up and down:: "Yeah Mama!"

::sigh:: "I LIKE BIG BUTTS AND I CANNOT LIE.."

I feel a rude anonymous comment coming .... :-)

I like it though. Isn't it on Shrek? or another children's movie?

It cannot be denied that this is one heck of a compelling song.

That's cuter than what my son did this morning (grabbing my tummy while chanting "big fat belly! big fat belly!") Everything sounds better set to music.

You ARE the lyrics queen if your kids know that song by "little in the middle" -- I didn't even know that! :)

if it makes you feel any better - we used to play this for Schecky. When that Friends episode came out a few years later, we couldn't decide if we were relieved that we weren't the only "bad" parents, or if we were miffed that they stole our song?

Another one that I was bad about? "Jump Around" - somehow I totally missed out on this lyric:

I'll serve your ass like John MacEnroe
If your girl steps up, I'm smacking the ho

Until one day I heard it loud and clear.

Scheck was probably about 5 at that point.

And, I'd included it on his Birthday CD that we put in all the goodie bags for his 3 year old birthday.

Best. Mom. Ever.
