Falling in Motion as Though I Had Wings

For the first time since The Stupid Fucking Foot Incident, I took the boys to the park yesterday.

And what's the very first thing that happened when I stepped out of the van?

I stepped on a stick.

::shaking fists in air::

Before we left, I grabbed some sage from the back yard.

And I burned it in the parking lot where I broke my foot. You know, to cleanse the park.

IT HAD BETTER WORK.

The boys had a great time...

... it was 70 degrees, sunny and warm...

... and last night we had hail, floods and tornadoes. And now it's snowing.

Kansas. Geesh.

Glad that the boys had fun and you didn't break anything this time:)

i'm glad there were no more "incident's," assuming you just stepped on a stick and did not fall down, hit your head on the van, etc.

crazy kansas weather, huh? (i hope you keep the cold stuff!)

I hope the sage did the trick. I thought about you last night while watching Katie Horner for three hours. Do the boys freak out with storms? Mine do, so I'm glad our damage was minimal.

70 degrees? lucky!
i miss taking the kids to the park - that's one of those things that's really hard for me to do by myself - a 1-3 adult/kid ratio doesn't work so well in this fam!

Oh, I forgot to ask.. Did anyone look at you weirdly while you burned the sage?

At least we had one day of sunny goodness. It's almost comical how fast the weather turned nasty again. Mother Nature is such a tease.

Y'all sure have some crazy weather in Kansas!

And boy-oh-boy, do I wish I could have seen you cleansing the park parking lot! :)

i love the sunglasses on that cute little boy going down the slide. My kids wore sunglasses all the time when they were young.... still do. I remember the weird Kansas weather... loved it though.

looks like fun! I wanna slide, without people telling me to grow up. Did the sage do the trick?

Well, I'm glad you were able to cleanse the park before the bad weather hit. It looks like the boys had a good time.

Oh yes...the weather, nothing like the fake global warming is there? It's like that here too...one minute 45 mph winds, the next it's 60 and warm...I hope the sage worked!

We enjoyed that 70-degree day, too -- it was awesome! Now we are freezing in mud and our sump pump has been running for two days.

I hope there will never be any more foot incidents. I think you've had enough.

I want to see if you can get this comment. I see your word verification box. And I just posted a comment on my own blog ... Maybe it's just YOU. Blogger doesn't like you. (Oh, and Kirsten, too.)

Wow - that's huge! Your first trip since you broke your foot? You should have celebrated! Or maybe the sage-burning qualified.

Hey, you just re-appeared on Bloglines (your last 25 posts). Does that mean it's fixed now?
