That's what I've been chanting all morning.
Griffin began Kindergarten today. It's very exciting. All that walking him to school and walking to get him from school. Over 4,000 extra steps. Super exciting. Approximately three hours of him getting socialization and learning stuff. Like reading and writing and history and math.
Of course, he's only focusing on learning the science. That's all he cares about learning. Science. The nerdiness begins early.
Anyway, very exciting. All this schooling. So! Fucking! Exciting!
Really. I swear. Exciting.

Happy first day! This is my first-grader's first full day. He was feeling a little sad about it this morning. He's going to miss his stuffed alligator (and, as an afterthought, me).

I hope it was more exciting than it looked. :) That's great that you can walk to school. We want to do that (in three years...), though I'm sure winter will send me to the car sometimes.

Oh...the boy looks excited! Good for him and the nerdiness...and congratulations...I can't wait to hear how it all went! And all that extra walking? Good, cause' I'm sure mama isn't quite as tired with only one little one at home is she?
