Be Near Me, Be Near

I guess, perhaps, I'm a really bad mother.

Because I do not understand how in times such as these, dirty, stained, sweaty, very most favorite turtle shirts must be worn no matter what.

Ah, Dar! You pink cheeked boy! Let mommy wash it, okay? It will smell pretty when you get it back.

Look at that face, how could you refuse. Oh and there's a toy for you over at mine...

Darn it! Now that song is stuck in my head!

Any chance you can bribe it off him?

I finally had to order my eldest out of her favorite birthday gifted dragon shirt after the sixth day of wear... and we were going to a very nice restauarnat for grandpa's 70th birthday. She was not amused, but she did eventually succumb to reason.

The little one is currently "at one" with a well-grunged Hello Kitty shirt which has a hem-of-questionable-integrity and is also minus several sequins.

I feel your pain.

"I like turtles!"

Lucas never went through this stage......Thank God! Maybe you could have them wear it INTO the shower.

There's nothing like favorite clothes is there? But, he's just so sweet in it!

I was just about to wonder if it was a picture from the winter!

One of my boys tried to leave the house in pants and a fleece pullover recently ... in 90+ degree weather. It must be a boy thing.

wait until it is too small and he insists that it still fits, even though he can't get his head through the hole and you have to hide it when you do laundry and he accuses you of throwing it away and you have to assure him that you still have it but he just can't have it......

Blanket sleepers? And a t-shirt too?! Doesn't this kid know it's 125 degrees out there?

I don't think I would understand either:) It is way too hot out! Now maybe if his favorite shirt was short sleeves... that I might get:)

It is the special province of children and homeless adults to find comfort in the grimiest clothes that can nearly walk themselves to the washer.

The good thing is that most other mothers can probably guess how come the kid's clothes look a little dirty.
