Oh! What a Feelin', When We're Dancin' On the Ceilin'

Actually, it should be when we're primin' the ceilin' but whatever.

And look...

... fancy pants paint. Fancy pants paint that cost a fortune. Fancy pants paint that I had to go down to the hood to get (Troost, for all you locals). Fancy pants paint that no one should have an allergic reaction. And that's why I had to get fancy pants paint.

Anyway, here's the game plan: today I'm going to finish priming (just one more wall) and I'm going to paint the ceiling with my fancy pants paint ("Simply White" by Pottery Barn for those who care).

Tomorrow I will be painting the walls with my spankin' awesome color-matched to green scrapbook paper paint.

And depending on when the semi-gloss arrives, I will either be painting the trim work on Monday or Tuesday (again, "Simply White").

I'm getting overwhelmed and I haven't even picked up a paint brush today. (Will. Resist. To. Discuss. How. Sore. I. Am. Will. Resist.)

Let's just say that I am so excited by reward later...

Gluten-free Orange Cake

Yum.

Now that's a good reward...for what will be a job well done...or an over due jobe done finally...whatever the case, I'm excited to see the results. Do you think perhaps you could dine in the entryway so everyone can bask in your remodel glory for Thanksgiving?

woo hooooo!

woot!

awesome, can't wait to see the result.

and hey, don't knock my old 'hood ;)

i hear good stuff about eco spec.

I went to Benj. Moore for that EcoSpec stuff, and they told me you had to special-order it! So I ended up getting the low-VOC paint from Sherwin Williams. It was still kind of stinky. It sure was expensive though!

I can't wait to see the results!

Hey, if you have a slice left over-throw it through the wires will ya? I am cheering you on right now because freshly painted walls are one of the best things in the world and I am going to face this dreary winter with every wall in my house being white. I don't like having all white walls, I find it depressing. But there's no time. So I'm going to enjoy your endeavors through you instead.

Good for you! It will be a thrill to finally finish that project. The reward looks really good, too. (Toss some of that motivation over here while you're at it...)

Wow, didn't even know that Ben had that paint. Does it smell much? I hate the smell but LOVE FRESH PAINT.

When Frankie was little I used to just decide to paint one day and do it. Now I'm just too lazy.
