You Can See I'm Single-Minded

Okay, two weeks till Thanksgiving. Time to plan... this week all you have to do is decide what size turkey you want and order it from your grocer. Or, you know, be really American and just buy whateverthehell they have on had. Or be really, really American and deal with the one your husband brings home from the office.

This is also a good time to complete any home remodeling projects you have. Like, oh say, THE ENTRY ROOM THAT HAS BEEN UNDER CONSTRUCTION FOR 19 MONTHS. Yeah, that's a good one to be working on right now.

half-way primed

Or, you can always do something with that river of leaves in your front yard.

Yea, our bathroom that was out of commission last year for thanksgiving is still out of commission this thanksgiving. Ah well.

Happy Priming!

my kids would love those leaves... all I have to say is let's see who can build the highest mountain... and they're off. Then it's only matter to get to 'the mountain' and bag them before they turn into trampolines..

kids eh?

Or you could just leave the leaves in their river and let the neighborhood animals use it as a cushy toilet so that when you finally feel like cleaning it up it will be like cleaning up a minefield full of poop bombs. That's what I do all the time.

Though, I actually don't recommend it.

I am very thankful for not having Thanksgiving, or at least not in November, which is quite hellishly busy enough thank you very much.

Thank goodness Thanksgiving isn't at my house. We don't have any plans, but I'm sure it won't involve my house. Now Christmas is another story...

I say leave the leaves.... HA HA HA!!! I really am just here to entertain myself....
work on the entry way... more satisfaction! The leaves will just come back!!! Or you could start the whole moving process that I have just been hit with that might be a maybe.... maybe next year, maybe two years after that... maybe we can stay here..... CRAP!!!!! Which is not really what I want to say, but I am really trying to keep the bad language just in my head!!!

I just rely on the fact that anyone coming over does really see all that well.

too many decisions.

which one sounds like most fun? (i vote for ordering a turkey)

our house has several "projects" going on, too. i guess that's what happens when we own older houses, huh??? it never ends.

Paint the damn wall already will ya? :) You know with all that extra time you have.......Actually I am in awe that you would even start such projects with two little ones. I say hire someone to finish it, I also say hire the boy down the street to rake. Good Luck..........and I am NOT thinking about Thanksgiving until next weekend.

Ahhhh, this year I will the the UBER-American: we're doing frozen turkey tv dinners from the health food store. All family members from both sides have plans elsewhere leaving us alone for the first time in our marriage. YES!!! NO FRIGGIN COOKING!!!!! LOVE IT!!!! (I'll probably be wallowing in self pity on the actual day though. I've prided myself on being the turkey day destination for the last 5 years...)

Work on the turkey and menu, forget the entry. That's what I would do... heh, you should see my 'unfinished' house!
