It is Sunday morning, which means it is time for nerds to be artistic...
Griffin painting (what is it with boys and black?).
Aaron drawing....
...and drawing...
...and cutting and sticky-taping pentagon pyramids.
And me, showing off my new supplies.

Wait, what is it with boys and pyramids? Philip was doing the same thing the other day. Making pyramids for Max. I came home to find a little paper Valley Of The Kings on the dining room table.
Sounds good to me....I like the 7 Gypsies stuff. ;-)
I'm too white and nerdy too! I love that song, cracks me up. Looks like you and Aaron have passed your creative genes down to your kiddies. I think Aaron should design quilt patterns.
sounds like a nice quiet Sunday morning.
Ah - Lazy Sunday....
cool pyramid!
I just read a book called "Why Gender Matters" (I am a school teacher on a BIG crusade) and the deal with boys and black is this: they have FAR more receptors for the RODS in their eyes. Girls have more cone receptor cells. The rod receptor cells are bigger, so that layer of tissue in boys' eyes is notably thicker and tougher. Rods are all about movement (makes sense when we go back to hunter gatherer, huh?) and cones are about color (faces). A study of kindergarteners showed that the boys used black, blue, silver and gray, and always showed some kind of insane action (rockets, meteors, you get the picture) and girls used about 3 times as many colors, which usually featured a character with a face. I AM SO FASCINATED BY THIS BRAIN SCIENCE! So, when the boys hit school, you make damn sure they don't have to stay in their seats more than 10 minutes at a time. xoxox
I thought they were quilt patterns too! Your boys are so creative, my two little ones still scribble all over the place.
See a pictures and he wants to paint it... well you know. - It's song title after all.
And re: post below. I totally know what you mean. If a project takes longer than about 8 hours I totally hate it by the time I'm finally done. And if I have to use the seam ripper more than once an hour -- HATE IT EVEN SOONER. See prairie point discussion recently. HATE THEM!!! But don't worry - eventually you (I) will think they are cute again and everyone else will too.

funny you should write about that; aaron spent the morning yeterday researching color blindness and was rambling on and on about the cones in our eyes.
He gets REALLY frustrated when we don't agree on a name for a color.
Very curious as to what those supplies are going to be part of... things that make you go hmmmm...
you guys are total geeks and i loove you!!!
cause you're like, way geekier than us. ; ) (and we do RPG)
