My pile is still there. Stop laughing.
I did manage to make it to the thrift store yesterday and totally score on some children's books and percale cotton pillowcases. My intention was to find some books for my mini-swap partner (note to self: figure out how to get one of them button thingies).
My partner is the wonderful Malene who lives in Denmark. (Denmark! I love mailing internationally!) I'm so very excited.
And yet, completely terrified.
She has an awesome personal site and she also has an internet shop. So, you know, I had better not fuck it up.
Not to say I fucked it up last year, but I'm always terrified when I do a swap. I'm afraid to suck.
Luckily, Malene is very nice and she and her children love handmade items. So, ::gulp:: I had better get to it.

I'm sure you won't suck. You're a domestic goddess.
i'll be waiting to see what you come up with. are you still planning to use your original idea?
I'm a big piler too.
I'm in town for a few days unexpectedly...but Bea's running a fever now. I'll keep you posted if the stars decide to align...
please don't worry about the swap too much - you'll overcompensate and show the rest of us up.
i hit the thrift store this morning for the same reason - what did you find?
Oh, don't fuss. You'll be fine.
totally unrelated: I think you need a link somewhere near the top of your sidebar to the recipe site...
ah swap anxiety.. I know it well..
you will rock the swap. never fear.
Is it time to say again how much I love my pincushion?
;)
Ah - Malene's a lucky girl!
Oh my gosh, your roses are beee-you-ti-ful! Spring...seems like an impossible thing...though I did see grass today as some snow actually melted. Thanks for the little piece of hope...
you're not going to suck...banish the idea!! I can't wait to see what you do...
So, about the roses, what's the deal? It's an icy winter week in Kansas. They look like they're from your garden.
Is that a picture from summer?
They are so pretty. I miss fresh rose bouquets from my garden. Even though I love winter.
I can promise you that even if you THINK you *f* it up, you never *f* it up. (I don't think blogger will let me cuss in a comment :-)
I have pilots disease too, I pile it everywhere!
You won't suck, either!
I know you will do Malene proud. And I'm laughing... you know that pile is nothing compared all my piles.
Hi
I know you won't suck, but I know the feeling. I'm checking the postoffice track and trace system whenever I have sent a parcel to see if my swap-partner has received it. Then I'm checking my swap-partners blog just to see what she thought of my swap....
I think it is very normally - just like when you're going to a birthday party and has to buy a gift for a person you don't know so well!
But I also think it is good to be a bit nervous because then I do my absolut best....
Love Malene (I love your blog and I'm sure my kids will love the stuff you're making to them)
I always feel a bit anxious when swapping too. I'm sure that you'll make something wonderful, can't wait to see what you come up with.
I love the roses, are they from your garden?
Malene is gonna be a lucky girl... you never disappoint with your projects !! Get goin !
A good pile of stuff is great, it takes up a small area and you can see all of it!!!
Lush roses
Suzie Sews (UK)
Of course you won't suck!
But I know what you mean - there's always some anxiety about whether the package is a hit or not.
I'm sure yours will be!
