Well, No More Will I Shop Around, Now Baby

This is my house, right now...

Darwin in jammas (and a pull up! I swear, we WILL potty train this child!), watching cartoons, Griffin outside playing in the falling snow, Aaron on a (supposedly) short errand to buy Tuckie the turtle crickets and me, on the computer and watching over our (a day late) holiday ham (we decided to enjoy the Christmas Eve leftovers before beginning another meal).

Now. How soon can I dismantle the damn tree?

As soon as you want I would think...my mother took hers down the day after one year...of course there was also the year we moved the day after...and everything we unwrapped got looked at and packed up right away...ugh. Life...Looks like a good haul though!!

I learned today that a woman of trustworthy habits took hers down today. Max informed me that we will keep ours up for 1000 days. I'm thinking today would be nice. But I'm too lazy so I am going to take it down before the new year.

Oooh, are those Legos I see? Our tree will probably stay up for at least a few more days. The kids love it, and Mike wants to keep his new labradoodle ornament up awhile longer.

We're still recuperating from xmas here. The children are very crabby with each other, but miraculously still nice to other children. For now.

I say it's your house and you can take it down whenever you want to. My house looks just like that and we don't even have kids (it's all of our new "toys" that are thrown around) ha ha!! I can't imagine having kids things too. :)

We put ours up after the kids go to bed on Christmas eve & take it down the next night.
It's a small wooden number.
We're total party poopers though...Xxx

Looks like you had a wonderful holiday. I took my kid to a psychic to see what would work to potty train my child. She said to pay her real money every time she went in the toilet. I thought this was crazy but it worked. You might want to try it. Keep your loose change by the toilet and pay him as a reward. I know it sounds crazy but it worked for my child. I thought we'd need a small Depends if things didn't hurry along. Good Luck!

Kinda looks like our house right now - and we're having four little boys over for a birthday party tomorrow afternoon. Yikes. And the tree is coming down tonight.

Happy Holidays, Laura. Hug 'em all and keep 'em close.

I too am really ready to dismantle the darn thing that I literally waited until the last second to even decorate. Have been know to pull the darn thing down on Christmas day to prevent spontaneous combustion! Looks like Santa was good to them this year.
