These Boots Are Made For Walkin', and That's Just What They'll Do

I went to my fancy-pants doctor and got the best news.

I was misdiagnosed.

Weird, I know -- but the good news is that the new diagnoses is better than the previous diagnoses.

I do not have a jones fracture. I have an avulsion fracture.

I can understand how my primary doctor misdiagnosed it, based on their closeness; but still, he should have sent me to a professional immediately.

In any case, lying around on my butt all day has delayed my healing. With an avulsion fracture you need to be up and on it, getting the blood pumping to it to speed up healing. So now, with the assistance of the dominatrix boot, I am allowed to be up doing stuff -- loading the dishwasher, making food, filling sippy cups, dusting, vacuuming (huh, notice how these all are chores) and not needing around-the-clock-assistance.

Of course, I still can't go up and down the steps yet. And I can't run errands. Or take the boys anywhere. But at least I can work on that new residue of muckity-muck that has accumulated on the kitchen floor.

That's great news! It should make the next few weeks a bit easier to handle. Now, if the pain will just go away...

But the real question is - has the pain got any better now you are up and on it (or is there just more to distract you)?

You sound very happy about it anyway so good.

Well THAT is good news! It must feel good to get up and walk around after being down for so long. I'm sorry that there are so many chores to be done, still. It never ends, does it?

FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC!!! Yea for Dr. Fancy Pants! And continuing my thoughts of you, I dropped the wrought iron dishwasher handle on my other foot this afternoon.

:) Cheers!

Do you suppose that the original doctor who was wrong could refund your money or pay for the fancy pants doctor? Send him a bill. hee hee.

I hope your foot is feeling better soon, glad you are able to at least get up, let the healing begin.

Yay!!! I'm so glad. I can still come over in the morning, even if just to let the boys play together. And I can run errands too!

Yes! Now go round to that other doc and show him just what your dominatrix boot can do!

GRRR-ATE news.

But is the pain any better? I would think with the movement and the blood flow it should be better. Sure hope so.

Yay!!! There should be some kind of law, Mama's cannot get hurt (and if they do, we should get a live in maid like Alice from the Brady Bunch!) I bet the boys are happy. Have they started imitating your walking? I turned around one day to see Cale concentrating very hard to get his limp "just right." Hopefully being able to do stuff will make you feel better and heal faster!

Hooray for good news and hooray for fancy pants doctors! I hope this soon decreases the pain. I'd still call in some help for the chores though if I were you.
