Okay, it is Friday and I kinda-sorta have a WIP.
New wall colors! Yes! Because the entry room will never be done! Never! Nevah!
So I'm leaning toward the green on top. It is very mellow AND soothing (and if there's ONE THING my children need, is "mellow" and "soothing"), it is light enough to keep an eye on prospective water damage (could we please have one year of "normal" rain? we haven't had proper rain fall in over three years now) and it provides enough contrast to my white-woodwork obsession. And I've been watching it for a few days with all the different shadows and variations of sunlight (what else do y'all expect me to do?) and it looks good in all the lights.
(That blue tape has been hanging since September.)
(Stop laughing.)
Of course, before I paint I'll still have to finish plastering. ::looking at foot:: So, yeah, this project is going to continue to take awhile.
Oh, in case anyone is wondering, those green "paint samples" are scrapbooking paper. And, of course, the one I like doesn't even have a name. But both were purchased at Hobby Lobby.
Griffin really wanted to get in the photography action. So...
He's an ornery little bugger. And my hair looks like shit. And I'm seriously starting to get pale.
And any of my good friends agree: I look like crap when I get pale.
Portuguese and Native Hawaiian heritage + no sunlight = green skin
Green skin = I could easily play Elphaba
No photos of Darwin, as he is too busy watching Dora and screaming, "Back pack! Back pack! Baaaaaaaack Paaaaaaack!" at every question.

I like the green too! It'll match your skintone. Hee hee. I'm lighter than you are of course, but I'm pretty green myself.
One more vote for the top green. I don't think you look green.
ELPHABA RULES SISTAH!
I think you are really beautiful...those eyes!
And the top green sample looks so much like my kitchen paint! Needless to say, I like it!
I'm the map, I'm the map, I'm the map.
you look great, but i kwym (!) - ihave that same olive-y skin that looks green all winter long unless i go to the melanoma-factory/tanning bed.
what's with the red, or should i ask??
Yes, definitely the green. We like the same colors! My first floor is shades of green like in your pic and my master BR is "merlot" which is a dark red/cranberry color. Very "regal"! Happy day to you!
Ooooh - I like the greens, too! The ones on the wall, I don't think that *you* look green.
I do, however, think that you look very pretty - and my word you've got GORGEOUS eyes..... and you're rocking those perfectly groomed eyebrows, too.....
I like BOTH greens. Hey, to save on the mess of painting, how about modge-podging (is that a word?)that scrapbook paper all over your entire wall? Just and idea. If you hate it, I'll come over and help you scrape it off. :)
And your skin is not green. Not the skin on your face at least. As for your foot - well you haven't shown us that lately. :)
You pretty girl. You do NOT have green skin. Green eyes, maybe?
I like the top one, too, although the bottom one will still say soothing to me.
love the green on top too ! The picture with you and Griffin is sweet. Found out that the Fairmont is now the Intercontinental... fyi
I hear it's not easy being green..
Better not tell your entry way.. I think I am painting my bedroom that color..as soon as i quit my job.
you look darling. You don't look green in the photo.
Growing up everyone always told me my legs were whiter than paper, so white they crossed over into blue. I love the combination of blue and green, we are going to have to get together!
The green is nice. You're not alone in the unfinished house projects. We still don't have thresh holds down from when we put in wood floors two years ago. There's missing shoe molding all over the place and MANY walls need painting. The corners of my kitchen aren't pained becase you need scaffolding to get up there (i just hope no one looks up when they come over). My list goes on and on...
Hello, hello capello! :)
I love that the tape is still, well, taped! :) Such is life with kids!
Anyway, go peek at your e-mail! You are a winner! Woo hoo!
Green is good. I've done the nursery in that green for Child no 3 and it's very calming.
You look great! And it's cool to be crazy.
'Swiper don't swipe, swiper don't swipe'...'Oh man'
We love Dora too in this household. And Boot. And Diego.
I like the greens too. Very close to the green I have in my dining room, and it is calming. I don't think you look green at all, just Wicked. ;)
Love the green. I have plenty of shades of green in my house.
I am having my own green day as the resident dog in the house threw up 3xs last night and I can't get that smell out of my nose hairs. Makes for a pretty GREEN feeling!!!!
Before reading further, I was thinking how beautiful you look in the picture. Of course, I like green.
And what color paper is the one you're going with? We're painting our living room over the next few weekends, and I was thinking green, or a light yellow. I need a LIGHT color.
