Griffin is upstairs, in his room, screaming his head off. Thrashing is involved.
Because I won't let him scream his head off in the living room and I sent him upstairs, his hissy fit is multiplied by fifty. At least. And that's damn impressive.
The fit has something to do with Legos. Maybe Darwin broke something he made? Really, I don't give a fuck.
Rule: if you don't want anyone messing with something, PUT IT UP.
Rule: don't bitch about it if they do because you didn't put it up.
Oh my hell.
Four more fucking hours, four more fucking hours, four more fucking hours...

Drive faster, Aaron! Drive faster!
Earplugs and rum, my dear. Earplugs and rum.
You can make it!!!
That's funny! Because I vaguely remember telling one of my nieces or nephews that if they needed to cry to go do it somewhere where I didn't have to see it. Lol. Great parents think alike!
***hurry Aaron! hurry!!**
Hey, we have the same rule in our house too & it applies to dad.
It's not too early to start drinking, you know....
:)
Has he learned the ductwork trick? If you scream into the vents, it is even louder downstairs, thereby increasing the effectiveness of every scream.
Hang in there!
Oh, those days make me want to escape.
It is 5 O'Clock somewhere..
Aaron must be home by now.
Let him deal. You have a rum or two.
Yeah...my mom started throwing our stuff away if we didn't pick it up...funny though, she never threw HER stuff away. Then again, it may have had something to do with her paying the mortgage (plus, it would be just wrong to do that with Legos!)
Oh. I'm hoping Aaron is home by now and you are enjoying a long-overdue break!
Have a great weekend.
hoping that aaron is home now and you are ever so relaxed. WHY do they act like insane people when there is only one parent home? WHY!!!!
Have you ever thrown a hissy fit right back at him? Like screamed and yelled and thrashed even worse than him? I find that often shocks kids right out of their own tantrum. And damn it, it feels good.
This sounds like my life except that instead of Max doesn't have a sibling to blame for everything, instead he has a dog who every once in a while will chew on lego pieces left out.
well, who doesn't love legos?
I think we need to coin a new term for lego-related meltdowns. Only one doesn't come to mind. Need another glass of wine - sounds like you could use one too.
I left you a little tag, for when you leave Aaron to a spot of father-son bonding.
Did Aaron take over? I hope you'll be able to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet!
Get those Gypsys back here PRONTO!
Aaron should be home by now! :) Hope things are going a bit better!
Thanks for being so honest about being a mum!!!
