"Darwin, eat your potatoes and pork chop."
"I no like pork chop! I no like potatoes. I want vegetables. And corn. Big corn. More corn!"
"No, no more vegetables and corn until your eat your potatoes and pork chop."
"No Mommy! More vegetables!"
"You may have more vegetables and corn on the cob if you eat some of your potatoes and pork chop."
"No!"
"Would you rather go to bed?"
"Yes. But I no like the crib. I want a big boy bed."
"Huh?"
"I want a big boy bed. Like Griffin's bed."
Shit.
First the bottle fairy comes and now this? No more crib? What?
Aaron tried to strike a deal, Darwin goes pee pee in the potty, we'll buy you a big boy bed. Yeah, Darwin's not going for it. The diaper fairy may have to visit for that to happen.
But he still wants a big boy bed.
Where the hell did my baby go?
There's no baby left in there. ::sob::

whoa... talk about hijacking an argument to turn into something totally different. darwin's a sharp cookie!
and you've got to be doing something awesome to have your kid begging for veggies. you rock as a mom!
When the diaper fairy gets to your house, could please, oh god, please send him our way?!?!?!?!?!
OH...how touching. The baby's growing up...does that mean it's time to have another? There will be that lonely empty crib (oh, that sounds like my mom when she used to try to get me to eat...that _____ will be lonely if you don't eat it...sure it will. I don't seem to have a problem cleaning my plate now. sigh)
Look how cute he is!!!!
Sometimes I wish the kids wouldn't grow up. Can't they stay little longer?
It goes so fast, doesn't it? And my kids could eat their weight in corn on the cob.
Ahh he's so cute.
I love how your boys through such a big idea into the middle of an every day chat. How do you get from veggies to wanting a big boy bed?
Don't you always feel crazy when saying stuff like "no veggies until you eat your starch and meat!" I say that stuff and think, what the heck kind of alternate universe is this? Seriously, he is adorable!
dang, he's cute.
omg he is so cute!
Lisa: Dad! Can't you have some other type of party, one where you don't serve meat?
Homer: All normal people love meat. If I went to a barbeque and there was no meat, I would say 'Yo Goober! Where's the meat!?'. I'm trying to impress people here Lisa. You don't win friends with salad.
He's growing up so fast!
Aw - your baby's growing up and is destined to rock the suburbs...
He's such a cutie...
See how fast you got back at me for my post today?!
Are you trying to torture me with this conversation? Do you know what I'd give to get Max to beg for more vegetables?!! (possibly my left boob, actually.)
I consider us even now.
He will always be your baby. My "babies" are six feet tall and have hair in places I don't want to know about, but they still slip and call me "Mommy" on occasion.
oh, i know your pain...wish they could just stay that young ALWAYS.
He has the cutest smile!
In a language you get:
"He's gone, gone, gone Daddy gone."
Hope that tummy got a big blustery rapsberry. It's beggin for it.
He is growing up quick!
Um, I think most parents would love their kid actually wanting to eat veggies:)
LOL - eat your meat and potatoes...isn't it the other way around?
Yeah. They grow entirely too fast, which makes us feel entirely too old!
A big bed is not so bad as long as he stays in it!
Corn on the cob is very popular here, too.
I know I'll be more nostalgic with the crib transition for the next baby, but I'm happy with the big-girl bed this time around! It helps that she doesn't know she can get out of it on her own yet.
Awwww...now that is a sweet post. We let Wyatt out of his "cage" in Dec...hence my exhaustion every morning b/c he ends up with me at about 4 a.m. with his little feet in my ribs. You must mentally prepare yourself for the challenge ahead my friend. But you already knew that. GL with the big boy bed!
i had an awful time with parker and the last few big things. he was getting big, and i knew was my last babe. i cried everytime that damn kid turned around!
Awwwww... I remember when he was born.
