You Know What Detours Are

Griffin's been home the last two days, too sick to go to school.

I'm damn tired of saying, "Go. Lay. Down. Now."

One-third of our table is taken over by the Birthday Jungle.

At least it's a pretty jungle.

I'm rather tired of doctors. I went to two yesterday.

No worries -- the mastoiditis really isn't mastoiditis at all. Turns out to be a pulled muscle in my neck and it's radiating to my scalp.

Would have been nice to know that two weeks ago though.

But, hey, silver lining -- at least I'm not going to die from a brain infection anytime soon.

Sorry the kiddo is sick. And thank goodness you really don't have the mastoiditis but how in the hell did you pull your neck muscle? Hopefully now that you know what the real deal is, you be on the road to recovery in no time. Oh - love the birthday jungle too!

That's quite a misdiagnosis. I'm glad you don't really have mastoiditis. But geez, doctors can be really tiresome.

Glad to hear it's just a pulled muscle but holy cow! Could they have not figured that out two weeks ago? Hope your kiddo is feeling better soon.

Wow. Glad it's not the other, but... geez! I hope your strained head and neck feel better soon. How the heck do you treat that??? Please don't tell me, with Advil. OOh...Maybe...prednisone???

That doesn't sound nearly as dramatic as the last diagnos!

Ouch, I have experienced this before and it HURTS where the muscles attach to the head! Glad you don't have bugs in your brain though, that is scary to think about. Does a heated rice bag thing help? Or have you tried it yet?

Molly

ps, that b-day jungle is wonderfully refreshing!

What a bummer ... or that's good ... or something. I guess they need a rapid test for mastoiditis, eh?

SHUT UP! Seriously?? That's F'D up.

Once, when I was sixteen, a doctor told me I had a bad STD. Then, a month later he was like "Nope, just kidding. Looks like it was vaginitis, all along." And I was all "THANKS. FOR RUINING MY LIFE."

Doctors are morons. Always get a third opinion!

(glad you are not going to die of a brain infection.)

You've been taking nasty-side-effect medication - for the treatment of something you DON'T EVEN HAVE????

Well that is good news sorta... Although that stinks because weren't you having to take meds for that? Hope you feel totally better soon! (And your kids too!)
