Dum, Dum, Dum it's the Sound of My Gun

After going to the chiropractor last night (which? I'm still fantastically amazed at how much getting adjusted helps my anxiety problems), I stopped by my friend's house to visit for awhile.

Shortly after I arrived, her new boyfriend called and decided to stop over for a few minutes.

He came in, sat down and pulled out a gun. My friend and I were listening to her four-year old son telling us a story. Next thing I know the crazy boyfriend is waving a gun around the room.

Now, I don't know what the fuck possessed him to pull a gun out of his back pocket but he scared the holy shit out of me.

Seriously? Seriously? Why in the fuck would someone pull a gun out? To show off? Seriously?

He unlocked the gun, counted his bullets and put it back together. Then he made a big stink about his supposed Super Awesomeness because he carries a gun with him where ever he goes and he? Does Not Have A Safety On His Gun.

Now, okay, I get it. It's his right, blah-dee-fucking-dah, to carry a gun on himself. But without a safety? And to pull it out in front of a four year old child and count the bullets? Seriously?

I find it really fucking odd that in this day and age, with our personal freedoms being stripped from our government under the code of "protecting" us from "terrorism" dumbfucks like this one are allowed to carry a gun with them, a gun without a safety, and have the "personal right" to pull it out whenever they so choose and flash it around.

After he left my friend asked me what I thought about him.

I told her he seemed to be fucking psycho and I'd dump his ass. Oh my fuck.

Where did she come up with him? Does she need to take a look at her "issues," or is that too presumptuous of me? The guy is a nightmare- and let's not even get into the whole Freudian aspect. How did she respond when you answered her question?

What kind of gangstas you hangin out with girl? Eeeeek...What the F?! Was she serious about asking you what she thought about him? I mean, perhaps when she dumps his gun toting freaky ass...she should do it with "witnesses" around. Good lord! Even up here in the silly western town I live in, you're not allowed to carry guns around anymore (which looks weird when you're riding your horse or having a show-down, but still) I am left wondering often, hat the F are people thinking?

Dude. There are so many things wrong with that, I don't even know where to begin. But, is it REALLY legal? I may be naive, but sure hope the freak it isn't!!!

The guy sounds volatile. She should lose him. And, you should not visit her until you're satisfied that she has. Holy Hell. That's just nuts. How's your anxiety NOW? :)

That would have freaked me out 100 ways to Sunday. But I'm not very calm about guns in the first place. I would very much like to send every last stinking gun on this planet to Mars. My FIL has guns and even though he keeps them locked in a cabinet I still don't trust their presence in his house.

Oy.

Run away. And quickly! Yikes!

somedays I really feel like moving to a nice quiet democrat state. You know, one that doesn't try to get evolution taken out of the school books, a state that DOESN'T allow people to carry guns.

oh, well, It is pretty here.

He should ditch that guy in a second. Its obvious he has the world's smallest wang. Well, maybe the second smallest - a guy I dated in college pulled the same crap (Look at my fancy gun and holster that I am going to wear to Wal-Mart! Idiot.) and the theory proved to be true.

I'm certain that dating him is not going to be worth it.

Keri said...

Um, yeah, she needs to dump him. And really? She had to actually ASK you what you thought of him? The horrified look didn't say enough?

I'm a single girl - have been for, like, EVER. And I've never dated a guy who pulled out a gun. And one of my ex-boyfriends was a professional bladesmith (that's a knife maker). I know he usually had a knife WITH him, but I never actually SAW one. And he made DAMN sure to keep it far away from my son.

Dude is craaaaaaaaazy. She needs to dump his crazy ass ASAP.

And yeah, I love the chiropractor too!!!

Was she serious? What was her reaction when he pulled it out? HOLY SHIT! Thank the goddess none of your kid(s)(?) were there. Was the scared for her son? At least you were there so now you can spread the story and maybe just maybe get her to dump his ass!

Holy crap!!!! That is SOOOOOO scary. Really, this is why the concealed weapons law scares me so much- because of that. guy. right. there. and the thousands of people just like him.

Micro dick. No doubt about it.

A jackass to that degree is screaming to be dumped on sight. What is she THINKING?

The SECOND ANYONE pulled a gun out in front of my child, for any purpose other than a demonstration on how to dismantle and destroy said firearm, I would hand him a set of tweezers to search for his manhood and throw his sicko, gonna-go-postal ass out of my house. Do not pass GO! Do NOT collect $200.

Completely inexcusable.

That is the scariest thing I've heard in a good while. I would have totally freaked (inwardly, though, I'm sure). Did the kid notice the whole deal? Is your friend safe? Choosing to carry a gun doesn't make someone loopy (although it's a choice I would never personally make), it's the needing-everyone-to-know-it's-there that worries me. You know?

At one point, I decided that before I let my daughter visit any friends, I would routinely ask if they had guns in the house. It seemed insanely paranoid of me to ask, but you just never know.

Now, I only let her go to places where I actually know the people. I guess you never know who they're going to have over to visit, though.

I agree with you about our loss of personal freedoms, the important ones and people scream like babies when you want to keep stuff like this from happening. And yes, I called them Babies.

I have to say, your gun laws scare the hell out of me.

O MY HOLY FUCKING HELL

that is just beyond BEYOND assery.

and i'm like, an NRA girl, kinda.

sheesh. please tell me she dumps him, please please please.

Seriously, WHAT?! That is the stuff that happens and you later think "did that actually just happen?" And mind you, I'm from Texas. Um yeah, that is insane.

This just sounds so alien to me!!
I can't imagine anyone even owning a gun, even though it would be used "safely"... but I suppose that's the difference between our countries. This story makes me shiver though...

Queens Knitting Mama said...

Oh My God! I'm sorry you had to go through that. I think I would have left before he started counting the bullet. I hope your friend dumps his ass. Take Care!

kristi said...

Wow, what a raging asshat. Messing around with a gun in front of a 4-y.o. while bragging about its lack of a safety... that's just stupid.

I agree that he's (ahem) probably compensating for something.

dee said...

that.is.NUTS.

and I live in a nice quiet democratic state and it doesn't make a lick of difference.

There are incredibly stupid people everywhere. Trust me, I've met some doozies.

I was checking in on your blog because you really do brighten my day(!) but Oh!....if that had happened to me i'd be booking into that chiropractor for a month. MY anxiety levels have hit the roof just reading that!
Hope you are ok.

HOLY SHIT. In Australia, people don't even OWN guns, let alone walk around the fucking place waving them around.....jesus.....
IN FRONT OF THE KIDS!
fuuuuuucccckkkkk........

If he's carrying it around in his pocket without a safety thingy (I know lots here obviously) maybe he'll shoot his own arse off. Let's hope so, it sounds like natural justice to me.

Let's get back to how the chiro helps anxiety.... come on girl.. details!!!!

And the gun thing? He wouldn't have stayed in my house another 2 minutes....

Heidijayhawk said...

you have got to be kidding me!!! what the hell was he thinking?! i think i may have lost my lunch right then and there.

pamela said...

does he have a concealed weapons permit? One call to the cops and hopefully no more gun (the no safety thing is really freaky)

TinkerBlue said...

Scary.

People can own guns, they have that right. I respect that right.

BUT. Keep them locked up. Don't carry them round in your pocket. Without the safety on. Don't bring them out in front of kids. Don't brag about it.

I don't like guns.

Get away.

nuttnbunny said...

Total fucking psycho. And this from the woman who actually BOUGHT a new gun today. Those turkeys better watch their asses come October.

btw - such poor judgement makes me think you should dump her. Hope I don't get struch by lightning now.

Kristy said...

It's guys like that who make me worry about your gun laws and any ideas to change ours.Scary a dickhead with a gun!Oh yes I can curse too! (I don't but I can!)

Amy said...

That is fucked up man - don't tell me stories like that. TOO scary.

And sorry about your anxiety man - I'm glad the chiro- helps. Me, I'm on therapy and faith -- but that's helping too.

lera said...

Holy cow! (What did your friend think of that little display?)

Kim - ScrapToMyLu said...

that's shocking! What's even maybe worse, is that she is dating him.......with a 4 yr old child.
