When Griffin started first grade a few weeks ago I was giving other parents high-fives in the hallway. Hell, when Griffin went to preschool as a four-year old I was giving other parents high-fives in the hallway.
But when Darwin went to His First Day of Preschool today I got dizzy.
My baby? In preschool?
No, no, not my baby; not in preschool!
Awwww, crap. ::sigh::
This whole kids-growing-up-getting-older-bullshit is ridiculous.

I'm with you on that!
Hell, my daughter can start reverse-aging any day now. I'm ready.
Such a great first day of school pix! We start on Thursday and I'm kind of sad. I've enjoyed being home with my baby.
who are his teachers? he must be t,w,th afternoons. big boy.
N was pretty nervous today, but declared on the way home, "my teachers were very, very nice to me." :)
I love ages 2-6. They love you so much and they just love to be with you no matter what. My 8 & 9 year old start school tomorrow and boy I'm glad of that! They are so bored and the friends one minute and at each others throats the next. I wish they could stay little forever!
Leigh Ann told me about your blog. I'm a lost Kansas in New York and terribly homesick. Now I have another Kansas blog to visit.
Have a wonderful day!
Sherry
Darwin you ROCK. Happy school to you buddy!
I can't believe Baby D is going to school!
School! Yuck. Getting older! Yuckier.
Different with the youngest huh? Me too.
he looks so happy...that must make it a little easier!
not looking forward to my youngest starting school in January.
Awww...that's gonna be me when Wyatt goes. Im holdin on to him as tight as I can for as long as I can. Because I swear he'd get on the bus and go to first grade with the big boys if he could.
I am totally with you on that.
Awww...but look how grown-up he looks! Oh...well, I get it now...
Awe, maybe that is what is happening to me. I only have one kiddo and I am beyond excited to see him off to preschool next week. Maybe if/when I have another I will be more emotional.
I second the sentiment entirely...
and that kid is so cute!!!
