Cruel to be Kind Means That I Love You

Aaron asked me to not write about what we did last night.

So... let me just say I got to dress all fancy (no jeans! no stained shirts with holes! that's fancy!), my parents watched the boys, we were out of the house for two and a half hours, we wore name tags, cameras are not allowed in the building and he got face to face with people he's been stalking.

Oh come on, you can totally figure it out!

And please note: in no way in hell did I allow that fucking stupid "obey thy husband" shit in our wedding vows. Hells no.

I can't figure it out. Apparently I need better clues.

If someone guesses, can you atleast say if they are right?? I'm perplexed.

I vote that you were at a concert, or a Obama convention. But I have no idea what concert you could have been at.
Tell us!

kristi got it -- we were at a freemason meeting.

and even though it was an open session and said they'd answer questions THEY DIDN'T because they were guarding their secrets.

Ohhh...I was thinking it was the AVN Awards or something...

My great grandmother was an Eastern Star apparently, which means (according to my sister) that we can automatically be Masons as well...My grandmother kept that a "secret" for some reason...

I'm glad you got to dress up and spend a few hours alone without the kids even if it wasn't exactly the perfect date night.

My Dad and Brother are Masons... I looked into Eastern Star. But seriously, I'm no good at the secret club thing. Actually, it kinda creeps me out.

Ah, I'm glad my curiosity has been satisfied!

If you're curious about Free Masonry, why don't you just buy the book (Duncans Ritual)and read it? Although I promise you'll be bored to tears. My husband is a Mason, but only because you have to go through all the levels of Masonry to become a Shriner--you know the guys with the funny red hats shaped like flower pots that raise all the money for Childrens hospitals. As I understand it, Masons are just overgrown boyscouts who pray alot---Unlike Shriners who like to party alot while they do their good deeds.

Were goat horns and chanting involved? Please say there were. Can't wait to hear the details...

I found you b/c of crockpot365...My brother and my roommate are Masons and they just recently had their award ceremony thing. No questions were answered their either but none were really asked...It was pretty interesting, though.
