Been Crazy All Day Long and it's Only Monday

"Mom, I'd like a snack."

"Okay Griff, would you like an apple or a blood orange?"

"I would like chips."

"Apple or blood orange?"

"Pretzels."

"Apple or blood orange?"

::gruff:: "Fine. A blood orange."

::cutting orange::

"Um... I don't think I can eat that. It's actually bleeding!"

Just out of curiosity, why do I need to recover from weekends? I mean, it's not like much got accomplished around here and Mondays just seem to be intensively more crazy the older I get.

OH...Monday's are always the recovery days for most everyone...specially if you've spent the weekend cutting up things that actually bleed...

Chaos always reigns on Monday. Everything goes haywire. And I have it on pretty good authority that I'm always mean, all the time (but I hear that the most on Mondays).

I'm way older than you and I can tell you that it only gets better! I swear, your kids will reach an easy age and you'll be so happy! Then you'll get your cookbook published and open up a bakery in Arizona....Wishful thinking! Hey, it could happen, right?

Monday is the beginning of my recovery. Tuesday has become my true recovery day, since I have as many as four hours to myself.

Our weekends totally feel like that! I think out of every eight weeks, one is completely relaxing. Ugh.

Well, clearly that child has a future in law. Our response to that drill is, "Asked and answered, counselor." Ours is 11 and that just puts him over. *snort*

Monday is always my recover day. sunday throws my weekend all topsy turvey, and I am picking up the pieces on Monday.

Yeah, weekends generally aren't very restful around here either.

You are much better than I am about sticking to your guns with the fruit snacks. I was better about cutting up fruit when I didn't have a babe in one arm at all times. I resort to bunny crackers much too often.

I find Mondays tiring. But that's not saying much, I find EVERYTHING tiring these days.
