Something's Wrong, You're Not Naive, You Must be Strong

Aaron comes home tonight after his 19-day business trip.

Now, before you all start getting excited for me please realize his plane doesn't land until 10:30 tonight, which puts him home around midnight.

And his parents are coming in town from Michigan tomorrow morning at 8:30.

Oh, did I forget to mention?

We are having Darwin's third birthday party on Sunday too.

I think I'm going to die from the stress of it all.

That or drown my sorrows in gluten-free cupcakes all weekend.

I think you're going to need to "shop" for supplies all day Saturday... get the food, plates, decorations and some strong liquor. You know, the important stuff.

CUPCAKES! CUPCAKES!! CUPCAKES!!!

and liquor like oilclothjunkie said.

ooh! Could you put the liquor IN the cupcakes? Or maybe just pour it on top kinda like how people make vodka watermelons?

Ahhh...the ever popular "death by gluten free cupcakes" a wonderful way to go!

Did I mention that when I was at Trader Joe's a couple of weekends ago, the apple sauce had a large happy sign announcing "Organic-Gluten Free!!!" Wha? Should I be worried about gluten in my apple sauce?

Totally drown your sorrows in gluten free cupcakes and liquor! Lots and lots of liquor. You don't actually have to be sober for all the relatives, do you?

That's what I'm doing. Except the cupcakes are cheese based foods and the liquor is beer.

Bring on the cupcakes! And the booze.

That's okay.......when my hubby got home from his business trip last weekend; I wasn't even home! I was out of town at a conference and he walked in the door to his sister, her three kids and then our bunch. Poor guy........not really.

Yes, liquor. Libations. Liquid Gold. Lemon Drop Bacardi.........yummy

Gluten free everything, huh? Have you checked into a local food co-op? I am in one where I live and it is through United Natural Foods. There are hundreds of gluten free products in the catalog. Check out unitedbuyingclubs.com to see if there is one in your area. Being from a large metro area I'm sure that there are.

Good luck surviving the weekend. :)

I vote for cupcakes. Yeah, death by cupcake. Either that or forget about sleeping and make love until dawn. You'll be happy for days and won't care about everything else.

Eat cupcakes! And have a drink too! Nap before your hubby comes home, so you can stay up and spend some quality time with him.

P.S. I just stumble upon your blog, I can't wait to read more. Your little boy is precious!

Hope the party is going well today. I'm with HeidiJayHawk, cupcakes and margaritas. Oh maybe you can invent a recipe for margarita cupcakes. Gluten free of course.

It sounds like this weekend would be enough to tire me out -- let alone the 19 days beforehand... I hope the cupcakes are yummy! (How could they NOT be?)
