What better way for me to spend a day than doped up on Lortab, crying in pain and finding y'all free listenings of almost all of June's songs?
If you only listen to one, be sure to listen to The Breeder's aucostic version of "Cannonball."

I'm such a dork! I finally figured out that your titles are song titles. DUH!!! :) That should make you chuckle.
Excellent songs Capello. I was gonna pick my favorite, but I think I have a 3-way. Tie, I mean. Between "Milkshake," "Puttin' On The Ritz" and "Upside Down." I think I'm just gonna listen to them all repeatedly til I decide on a favorite.
I love Cannonball..
Love love love it...
loveit.
You totally ROCK! (and folk and indi and jazz, etc!) How fun! Did you bring your boys to Dan Zanes at the Lied Center last fall? I LOVE him!
Cheers!
I'll listen to it, but I'm not going to like it. That song reminds me of living in our low incoming housing complex in Leawood (ha, a low incoming housing complex in Leawood -- an oxymoron I know, but it really did exist -- State Line/135th st.) when I was doing my student teaching. Did. not. like. to get up in the morning to that song.
So sorry you are having such a rough time with your foot!! What a big, big bummer.
Hi Capello - usually I'm just a lurker on your blog, but I thought I should let you know that these blog title roundups of all the songs have have introduced me to so many bands that I've never heard because I can't afford to buy CDs of bands I don't know that I already like. I really really appreciate the work you put into this post (and all your other ones too - you make my day pass more quickly at work!).
Also, the saga of your foot and the various health things your family has had to deal with has moved me so much - we whine so much here in the UK about the national health service, but one read through your blog would convince even the most hardened critic of the NHS that every nation should make health care available to everyone. I nearly cried when you didn't want to go to the ER because of the $100 co-pay.
Get well soon. I'd say be strong and keep smiling, but you clearly have boundless sources of strength and humour already.
Hey! I have a lot of songs on this month's list. I'd have slacked off with posting all these by now. What a trooper you are. 8-)
